Our focus tends towards the undiscovered, irreverent and experimental, but all forms of poetry and prose are welcome. We read everything that comes to us, but we don't like diatribes, rants, or polemics. We think humor is more subversive than anger. Please check out our archives before you submit.
DONATIONS
pax americana accepts all donations, thoughtful notes, and insightful criticisms. Please send all of the above to our mailing address or via PayPal, by using the button below. All donations go back into the cost of printing our journal and or subverting dominant paradigms that threaten the existence of harmonious, judicious societies everywhere.
1.)Donations of $20.00 and above will receive complementary copies of our first and second issue as thanks.
2.)Donations of ANY amount less than $20.00 will receive a pdf copy of our second issue as thanks.
SUBMISSIONS
(SUBMISSIONS ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED)
POETRY: Send us three to eight previously unpublished poems.
PROSE: We accept all genres and ungenres of prose. Please limit your submission to a web-friendly length of around 4000 words or less.
We prefer submissions as a single .doc or .rtf attachments. Please include your name and the date in the subject line of your email. Also include a short bio and a photo of yourself, so we can get to know you. We accept simultaneous submissions, but please let us know if your work is accepted elsewhere. We do not guarantee a speedy reply if you choose to send your submission by mail.
MULTIMEDIA: We are now accepting previously unpublished photography, graphic art, comics, video poems, audio files, etc. Send your work to us in a high quality format. Please make sure you submission works within the limitations of our site.

WEB/PRINT
paxjournal.com: we publish about four to six times a year. We hope each of our issues reflects an eclectic range of writing and art. Our site is best viewed on Fire Fox or Safari.
Print: we publish one journal per year. Submissions for print are made by solicitation only. We generally like to feature writers in our web journal before inviting them to submit to print. Print issues are available in our store and in the hands of the artists and writers that support us.
